Hitachi is a Japanese multinational conglomerate company, that is headquartered in Tokyo. Hitachi operates within eleven business segments, ranging from information and telecommunication systems to construction machinery.

The history of Hitachi

Hitachi was founded in 1910 in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. The company began as an in-house venture for a mining company and moved their headquarters to Tokyo in 1919. During the Second World War, many of their factories were destroyed. After the war, they started to rebuild and saw an increase in business. Nowadays it is one of the biggest companies in the world with over 300,000 employees worldwide.
